We are so excited to start our 2017/2018 Prairie Land Regional Division #25 School Year!! We hope everyone had a fantastic summer and have been settling into the new school year. Welcome back! For those who are new we are so excited to have you here and to get to know you!
Prairie Land Regional Division has so much to offer students, staff and their families. Students have opportunities to not only receive a fantastic education, but they learn about the importance of health and mental wellness as well. Each school has access to Family Resource Program, Project REACH , and a variety of health initiative set up by the Health and Wellness Board. Our focus on health and mental wellness is driven by research proving children who are healthy physically and mentally will be successful in their educational studies.
What is Project REACH??
The Mental Health Capacity Building (MHCB) in Schools Initiative works to promote positive mental health in children, youth, families and support individuals in the community who interact with children and youth. Project REACH is one of 37 locally planned, coordinated and implemented MHCB programs that operate across the province.
The MHCB initiative is funded by Alberta Health and led by Alberta Health Services (AHS) Provincial Addiction and Mental Health.
